April 6-7 & April 13-14: Wine Adventures Passport Weekends 2019 – El Dorado County
Explore the wineries of El Dorado County during two passport weekends during April 2019. Sample wine paired wth delicious appetizers at more than 20 mountain wineries.
The wineries are scattered around the county but you will find that most of the El Dorado County Wineries are located near the historic towns of Placerville and Fairplay. It’s a rural area with uncrowded scenic roads.

April 11-14: Pebble Beach Food & Wine
Join 100 celebrity chefs for a four-day wine and food event. Enjoy great wine and food along with stunning ocean scenery. Experience wine tasting, cooking demos, golf, and gourmet dining opportunities at this annual event in picturesque Monterey County.
This is your chance to experience some of the most exclusive, unique dining opportunities available in the world and sample wine from 250 top wineries.
April 13: VinDiego Wine & Food Festival – San Diego
More than 300 wines will be available to taste at this annual event. Award winning wineries from Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Lodi, Oregon, Santa Lucia Highlands, Temecula and San Diego will be pouring their wines. Top chefs will be serving food samples for you to enjoy. The ever-popular VinDiego Silent Auction takes place during the event. Jimmy & Enique will be the musical headliners this year.
While in San Diego, make time to explore this growing wine region. The historic mining town of Julian in the foothills east of San Diego is worth a visit. There are a number of wine tasting rooms located in this charming town with others located nearby. Find additional wineries in San Diego’s North County in and around the towns of Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook, and Escondido. All worth exploring!
April 20: Passport Day – Santa Cruz
Passport Days are held quarterly throughout the year at Santa Cruz wineries. April 2019 is a great time to go wine tasting in this scenic region. Some wineries that are not normally open to the public will open their doors to visitors for passport days.
Special events are planned at participating wineries.
Santa Cruz is increasingly being recognized for producing award-winning wine. Most wineries are small, family owned businesses. Some tasting rooms are looking in the city of Santa Cruz while others are spread out in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Enjoy the California Redwoods, the Pacific Ocean, delicious wine, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk all in one day!
April 23-25: Hospice du Rhone – Paso Robles
This event claims to be “the largest international Rhône wine gathering on the planet!”. Experience wine tastings, seminars, a variety of special meals, and a live auction. Purchase tickets to each event individually or buy a weekend pass!
Paso Robles is especially known for the great Zinfandel that is produced in the area. However, many you find many other varieties of wine that you are sure to enjoy. Theres are hundreds of wineries just waiting to be explored.

April 26-27: California Wine Festival – Orange County
This popular wine festival lets you enjoy both wine and the California Coast. This seaside location in Dana Point is the ideal place to enjoy wine, food, music, sea and sun. Wineries will be pouring hundreds of red and white wines while top chefs will be serving gourmet appetizers. A variety of live entertainers will be performing. This is sure to be a fun day at the beach!
When Orange County is mentioned, most people think immediate of Disneyland. However, there are a number of wineries with tasting rooms located in the area.
April 27: Taste of Mendocino – San Francisco
This event showcases the wine and food of Mendocino County, but takes place at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Over 30 Mendocino wineries will be pouring their world class wines while Mendocino County artisanal food producers will be serving up delicious bites to complement the wines. You will be able to purchase wine and artisanal foods at the event. Come savor the flavors of Mendocino!
April 27-28: North Sierra Wine Trail Bring Out the Barrels – Oroville
Enjoy wine tasting at the 16 wineries of the North Sierra Wine Trail. These wineries are located near the cities of Oroville and Dobbins. April 2019 is the perfect time to explore this undiscovered wine region.
April 27-28: Passport to Dry Creek Valley
Purchase a one or two-day passport that allows you to taste wine at more than 40 wineries in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. Experience special food and wine pairings. Options are available for special dinners, vineyard lunches, live music, and vineyard and wine tours.
This is a gorgeous region known for its outstanding wines. It’s also becoming a mecca for foodies with an amazing number of gourmet restaurants located in the town of Healdsburg.

April 27-28: Stags Leap District Vineyard to Vintner
Visit winery open houses to mingle with owners and winemakers. Tour the vineyards. Discover winery caves, enjoy special barrel tastings, explore the cellars and enjoy food and wine pairings not available to the public. Enjoy special lunch and dinners . Drive from winery to winery along the Silverado Trail at your own pace. Great wine and food!
April 28: Taste of Huntington Beach
This April 2019 event features delicious food from 50 local restaurants and catering companies as well as wine and beer. Sit back and relax as you listen to live entertainment by The Ramsey Brothers Band and get up and enjoy dancing to the music. There’s also a silent auction with proceeds benefiting Friends of the Children’s Library. This is sure to be a day of fun all for a great cause!
