Stay at this lovely Napa Bed and Breakfast for a memorable wine country getaway. Beazley House is located in the historic Old Town neighborhood of Napa. It’s a short walk to gourmet restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and a variety of entertainment options.
Carol and Jim Beazley have owned and operated this Napa bed and breakfast for 35 years and it’s easy to see that they know what they are doing. The attention to detail is obvious from the minute you step in the door. Everything is well maintained.
They’ve managed to create the perfect combination of old world charm with modern comfort. Surrounded by antique furniture, stain glass windows, lovely gardens, and a cozy window seat, the ambiance is homey and charming. Yet they also offer complimentary WIFI and flat screen televisions.
This Edwardian mansion was build in 1902. There are six rooms in the mansion and another five rooms in the carriage house out back. Most rooms have king beds and some rooms offer in-room 2 person spa tubs. The beds are extremely comfortable beginning with the sheets which are made of 52,000 thread count comphy microfiber. Beds are covered with plenty of soft pillows for a dream-filled night.
After a tour of this Napa bed and breakfast, we were treated with Mrs. Beazley’s world famous chocolate chip cookies fresh out of oven. The late afternoon happy hour gave us a chance to meet other guests while sipping on wine and light snacks. You won’t find this friendly camaraderie in a typical hotel.
You also will not find a breakfast like the one prepared by Mrs. Beazley. She catered to the tastes of each guest and produced an amazing gourmet breakfast that included the most delicious homemade granola, fresh fruit, sausages, quiche, toast, and beverages.
The staff at this Napa bed and breakfast are friendly and eager to help make your visit to the wine country memorable. Mrs. Beazley gave suggestions for fun things to do in the area, made dinner reservations for us, printed up directions to wineries, and even called to let them know we would be coming. We will definitely be returning to Beazley House; hopefully very soon!

The Uptown Theatre Napa is Napa’s downtown destination for live entertainment. This beautifully restored art deco theatre features musical events, comedy shows, and more.
This historical landmark with just 860 seats is an intimate setting. Wherever your seat is located, you’ll be happy. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house!
Napa Earthquake Update
The 6.0 earthquake that struck Napa on August 24, 2014 damaged the ceiling at the Uptown Theatre. The building has been inspected and it has been determined that the building itself is structurally sound.
The theatre was temporarily closed while repairs were done to the ceiling. However, the repairs are complete and the theatre is open for business.
This theatre has quickly become a popular venue for both Napa Valley locals and visitors to the valley. It’s so relaxing to sit in soft, cushy seats while watching your favorite artists perform. Both the sound system and the lighting is excellent.
We love the upscale, nostalgic ambiance. If you’re really into the music, it’s possible to step outside your row and dance in the aisles!
Come early for dinner and a show. There are a variety of restaurants in the area around the theatre, but there is also a cafe in the building. The Courtyard Cafe is open one hour before the show and during intermission as well. Enjoy a meal, wine, beer, or other beverage.
If you haven’t yet attended an event at this theater, don’t wait any longer! Click on the link below to learn about upcoming performances. Parking is free. You can park on the street or at any of the various city parking lots in the area.

Pizzeria Tra Vigne Restaurant offers casual dining in St. Helena. Enjoy the unique blend of Italian cuisine and fresh local ingredients from the Napa Wine County.
This is a pizzeria serving pizza baked in homemade brick ovens, authentic pasta dishes, salads and amazing gelato. It’s a casual restaurant with a pool table, some patio seating, and a few TVs.
They serve wine by the bottle, liter, 1/2 liter, or the glass. They also serve beer. There’s no corkage fee if you bring your own bottle of wine to the pizzeria, which is a great deal!
We shared a specialty pizza called “The Ducati”. It was loaded with mozzarella, marinara, capicola, mushrooms, spicy italian sausage and sun-dried tomatoes. It was an excellent choice. All of the ingredients were fresh and the crust was perfect; thin and crispy. They have a handful of specialty pizza choices or you can create your own pizza by selecting the toppings you want.
I can’t go to Tra Vigne without ordering the salad called “Insalata di Pollo”. It has smoked chicken, greens, apples, celery, gorgonzola, and roasted walnuts. It’s served with an apple cider vinaigrette. It is fabulous!
When we first visited Tra Vigne, we thought the menu would be limited to pizzas. There are a large number of pasta dishes to choose from as well.
We will return to this restaurant in St. Helena because of the fabulous food. The service is friendly and welcoming. It’s a place to relax and enjoy some great pizza. We highly recommend it to others.
