Enjoy wine tasting at Tracy Wineries located in the Tracy Hills Appellation. The area between Tracy and the Altamont Hills has been designated as the Tracy Hills Appellation.
There are only a handful of wineries currently open with wine tasting rooms. Expect this area to grow in the near future. Tracy is located east of San Francisco in California’s Central Valley. Elevation ranges from 100 to 500 feet above sea level.

This Tracy winery was established in 2002. White wines include Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. Red wines: Merlot and Sangiovese. They also produce a Port-like blend called Nectare des Dieux. This winery is also used as a wedding and special events venue.

This Tracy winery was established in 2006. Wines include Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Tempranillo, Petite Syrah, and Port.
Windmill Ridge Winery

Wines include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Merlot Rose, Barbera, and a Port. Established in 2008, this winery is a place for wine tasting but also serves as an event center and facility rental.
You can also sample local wines made at these wineries at M & J Bistro. This Tracy restaurant is also an excellent destination for either lunch or dinner. Also worth checking out, is Vino 100. This is a wine shop located in the Home Depot Shopping Center at 2467 Naglee Road in Tracy. Stop in for a glass of wine or check out the calendar of upcoming events. They often have fun happenings such as live music, comic nights, educational seminars, and special tastings. You can purchase bottles of wine at Vino 100. They even have a wine club that you could join.
Take a Drive Over the Altamont to the Livermore Wine Country
There are more than 60 wineries producing wine in the Livermore Wine Country. Wineries are scattered around Livermore, Pleasanton, Sunol, and Castro Valley.
