Experience Sonoma Valley Wineries

Sonoma Valley WineriesSonoma Valley wineries are located in and around the towns of Kenwood and Sonoma. Experience friendly tasting rooms, world-class wines, and gourmet restaurants.

Sonoma Valley Wineries include the sub appellations of Bennett Valley, Sonoma Mountain, and Carneros. The Carneros Appellation is located in the southern end of the Sonoma Valley against the north edge of the San Francisco Bay.

The cool sea breezes allow the grapes to ripen slowly and results in rich full-bodied Pinot Noir and Chardonnays. Some Merlots are grown in the warmer areas of this area.

Find Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vineyards growing on the floor of the Valley where temperatures are warm. Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs thrive in the cooler areas. Spicy Zinfandel is grown on the cooler hillsides.

The long ripening season on the slopes of Sonoma Mountain are perfect for growing premium Cabernet Sauvignons. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are grown in the sunnier mountain areas.
