This wine cake recipe begins with a box of yellow cake mix. This dessert is so easy to make and tastes so wonderful. A delicious bundt cake that pairs so well with a sweet Riesling.
Wine Pairing: You want to drink a really sweet Riesling to blend with the sweetness of the cake. Be careful not to select a “dry” Riesling which will fight against the sweet cake. We would recommend Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling, Chateau Ste. Michele, or KuFu Riesling. Any of these sweet Rieslings would pair well with this cake.
1 box yellow cake mix
1 4 1/2 ounce box of instant vanilla pudding
4 large eggs
3/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup Riesling
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1. Combine all ingredients and mix with electric mixer for 5 minutes at medium speed.
2. Pour batter into a greased bundt cake pan.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes until done.
