Far Niente is open for wine tours by appointment only. Tours begin with a walk through the winery. You will visit their 40,000 square foot wine aging caves. These are the first modern wine caves built in North America. Excavation began in 1980. The next stop is the Carriage House, home to a fascinating collection of automobiles. The tour concludes with a wine tasting paired with cheese. This tour requires lots of walking, including stairs.

The tour begins in their demonstration vineyard, proceeds through the wine production facilities and then goes into the cave system for a barrel sample. The tour concludes in the caves with a seated wine and cheese pairing. Each tour is limited to 12 guests and lasts approximately one hour. The tours begin at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily. Reservations are required.
