You can get married at a nearby park or on the lawn outside the center. The reception would be indoors with a patio outside overlooking the water at this San Diego wedding site.  
Wedding Bowl Cuvier Park San DiegoCuvier Park Location: Intersection of Coast Blvd. and Cuvier Street Telephone: Contact the City of San Diego for permit – (619) 235-1160 Capacity: 40 (although I know someone who had 75 standing)This popular San Diego wedding site is often referred to as “The Wedding Bowl”. Cuvier Park offers a breathtaking view overlooking La Jolla Cove. The grassy bluff is 5 steps below the street providing some privacy. The city issues just one permit per day for a wedding ceremony at this park. No receptions allowed.

San Benito County WineriesPlan a visit to San Benito County Wineries and discover one of the hidden treasures of California’s Wine Country. The wineries of San Benito County are located near the city of Hollister just 25 miles from Monterey Bay. Wine grapes were first planted in San Benito County during the 1850’s by a French immigrant named Theophile Vache’. Using vine clippings he brought from France, he planted his new vineyards in the beautiful hills of the Cienega Valley. Plan a visit to San Benito County soon. Alicats Winery Address: 10 Nash Rd., Hollister, CA 95023 Telephone: (831) 636-7311 Open for wine tasting during special events only. This Hollister winery specializes in Syrah, Dry Muscat, and Chardonnay.  

Calera WineryCalera Winery Address: 11300 Cienega Rd., Hollister, CA 95023 Telephone: (831) 637-9170 Open daily 11 – 5 PM Calera Winery was established in 1975. They produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Their Late Harvest Viognier is excellent as well. The tasting room is located on the top of a mountain. You can picnic outside and enjoy panoramic views of the hills below.

Casa De Fruta Address: 6680 Pacheco Pass Hwy., Hollister Telephone: (800) 543-1702 Open weekends 8AM -7:30PM; weekdays 9AM -5PM *Restaurant *Accommodations *Fruit Stand Casa De Fruta is a popular stop for travelers driving the Pacheco Pass Highway. There’s an RV park, motel, and restaurant. Kids love the carousel and train ride. Many non-wine drinkers enjoy their fruit wines.

DeRose Vineyard, HollisterDeRose Vineyard Address: 9970 Cienega Rd., Hollister, CA 95023 Telephone: (831) 636-9143 Open Weekends 11 – 4 PM This family owned San Benito County winery was established in 1988. Some of the oldest vines in the state are located on this property. The winery sits directly above the San Andreas Fault. It is one of the few wineries to have a major fault line dissecting its main building. More than 25 antique cars are on display in the old fermentation room. DeRose produces award winning Zinfandel, Negrette, Cabernet Franc, and Viognier. As you visit San Benito County Wineries, be sure to stop at DeRose.

Enz WineryEnz Winery Address: 1781 Limekiln Rd., Hollister, CA 95023 Telephone: (831) 637-6443 Open weekends 1 – 4 PM Enz Winery was founded in 1972 on a 1,500 acre ranch. Some of the vines were first planted in 1895. Sample wines and enjoy a picnic surrounded by the lush vineyards. Wines include Zinfandel, St. George, and Mourvedre. They have a wine called Wild Zin. This is similar to White Zinfandel but dryer and heartier.

This winery specializes in limited productions of single vineyard premium wines. Grapes are from Monterey and San Benito counties. Stop by and enjoy their wonderful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Pietra Santa Winery Address: 10034 Cienega Rd., Hollister, CA 95023 Telephone: (831) 636-1991 Open daily 11 AM – 5 PM This San Benito County winery has a spectacular setting in the beautiful Cienega Valley. Pietra Santa means “Sacred Stone”. The winery was named this due to the unique granite and limestone soils found on the estate. Sample fine wines and olive oils from Pietra Santa Winery. Wine is produced under three labels. The entry level red blend called Sacred Stone. Pietra Santa is the flagship label. The limited production wines carry the Vache label.
