Santa Cruz Wineries – The Ultimate Guide

Santa CruzSanta Cruz wineries arelocated in the town of Santa Cruz, in the Santa Cruz mountains, as well as those in neighboring towns. As you explore the best wineries, you will love the scenery and find that there are many exciting things to do in the area. Located close to the Pacific Ocean, Santa Cruz enjoys a cool growing season. Foggy summer days means that grapes ripen in cooler temperatures. This allows the grapes to remain on the vines longer. The longer growing season results in grapes with more complexity and allows for the production of distinctive wines. Santa Cruz is the place to enjoy small, family-owned facilities focused on creating the finest wines possible. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Santa Cruz wine tasting means fine wines, friendly tasting rooms, and miles of beautiful ocean. Paso Robles Wine Tours – Amazing Wineries

Tips for Wine Tasting in Paso Robles

Paso Robles wine tours Paso Robles Wine Tours means diving along rural roads while enjoying a view of rolling hills, vineyards, majestic oak trees, and world class wines. More than 25 different varieties of grapes are grown in the Paso Robles Wine Country so you will have opportunities to taste a wide variety of premium wines. This is one of the fastest growing wine regions. With hundreds of wineries to choose from, planning which wineries to visit can be overwhelming. Our suggestions should help.
Tip #1 – Don’t try to visit every winery.

Select a handful of wineries that you plan to visit in a day. You may have some favorite wineries in mind. If not, browse through the list below to pick a few that interest you.

Tip #2 – Concentrate on a single area of the Paso Robles Wine Country.

Paso Robles covers a large area. It will be easy to visit all of the wineries in one area one one day and other areas on subsequent days. If you don’t have multiple days to taste wine this time around, focus on one area in the morning and a different area after lunch. The Paso Robles American Viticultural Areas (also called an AVA) has been divided into 11 sub-AVAs based on the unique climate, soil, terrain of each area.

Wineries are listed below by their AVA. This will make it easier to visit wineries that are located in the same geographic area. Avoid wasting time driving back and forth from one area and then back again later. Use this Map of Paso Robles Sub Appellations to plan you Wine Tasting Trip.

Tip #3 – Be spontaneous.
Your favorite winery of the day may turn out to be the one that happened to catch your attention as drove by.
