Wine and Roses provides Lodi accommodations that are perfect for a romantic getaway. Great location, beautiful setting, luxurious amenities, and delicious food.

If you are you ready to wind down and relax surrounded by seven acres of beautiful trees and lush gardens after a day sampling wine at Lodi wineries, this is the bed and breakfast for you.

Wine and Roses is located in the heart of the California Wine Country. The Lodi Wine & Visitor Center, where you can taste wine and learn about Lodi wineries, is on one corner of the property. This is the ideal play to stay on a wine tour to the region.

Wine and Roses began as a California Bed and Breakfast and restaurant located in the historic inn. The food is exceptional at the Town House Restaurant and we eagerly recommend it for dining even if you are not a guest at the bed and breakfast.

The historic rooms in the inn are charming and full of amenities. The Honeymoon Suite is a great choice for a special romantic occasion. It’s tastefully decorated with a white canopy over the bed, large tub, its own private wooden deck, and a private dining alcove. The Honeymoon Suite is spacious and tastefully decorated.

There’s also a cute little dining alcove for two. It is perfect for a romantic dinner or breakfast. So cozy!

The facilities have since expanded to include a hotel with Vintner Suites, Garden Rooms, and Spa Rooms. These rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with all of the amenities you would expect. Some rooms have fireplaces and spa tubs. All rooms have a private veranda or patio offering a serene place to relax in a beautiful garden setting.

The spa at Wine and Roses is exceptional as well. You can pamper yourself with a massage in a personal treatment room complete with a private outdoor shower.

There’s also the private Keneshaw Retreat built for two people that includes a fireplace, rock tub, Swiss shower, and private garden patio. This is a full service salon that will pamper, relax, and amaze.

Make a reservation to dine at the romantic restaurant at the resort. Inside the fireplace is blazing, candlelight flickers throughout, a pianist sings as she plays, and to top it all off; the food is fabulous.

M & J Bistro - Tracy, CaliforniaIf you are in the Tracy area, consider dining at M & J Bistro. This Tracy restaurant is our favorite place to dine in the area. It’s located just a short distance from Fwy. 205. You’ll find great San Francisco cuisine and friendly service at this Tracy restaurant. Be sure to try the Chocolate Decadent Crepe, it’s definitely a must have. M & J Bistro is open every day but Sunday for both lunch and dinner.

Scott's on the RiverScott’s On the River is a fabulous sea food restaurant located along the Sacramento River. Make it your place to dine overlooking the water and watching the boats drive by. There’s also seating available inside. It’s just a short drive from the Clarksburg wine region. The setting is beautiful and the the food is great. Dine on Tuesdays if you want to try out their Taco Tuesday specials. Scott’s also has happy hour specials on weekdays.

When you visit California’s Central Valley, you will want to stay at the best Central Valley hotels. These are places that we have stayed at. We recommend each of these hotels or bed and breakfast inns as great places to stay. We can’t wait to go back again!

The Central Valley stretches 450 miles from north to south through the central portion of California. This is California’s most productive agricultural area. This area experiences warm, hot summers. Approximately half of the wine produced in California is made from grapes grown in the Central Valley.

You are never far from one of California’s Wine regions. Visit Central Valley wineries to experience the uniqueness of wine from the valley. The largest wine region in the valley is the Lodi Wine Country. Lodi is increasingly being recognized as the place to go for fabulous wines at reasonable prices. It was even named Wine Region of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

Clarksburg Wineries are approximately 15 miles south of Sacramento in the Sacramento Delta. Visit the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg where you can taste wine from multiple wineries all in one location. Head south toward Fresno to the Tracy Hills Wine Appelation Tracy has just two wineries with tasting rooms right now. Tracy is located just east of the Altamont Hills along Highway 580. I’m sure that more wine tasting rooms will soon be on the way.

This region is important to California. Hundreds of miles of levees protect farmland from the water. The soil is very fertile for farming. Two-thirds of Californians received their water from this area.

More than 750 different species of animals make the Delta their home. Most of the animals are birds and fish. Other animals include otters, fox, beavers, rabbits, snakes, and lizards. Many of these animals are endangered.

The Delta is a major recreational destination for water sports, fishing, and bird-watching. The small towns located throughout the Delta are fun to explore. You’ll find unique places to stay and eat. Marinas, boat rentals, and bait shops are found throughout the area.
