The Central Valley stretches 450 miles from north to south through the central portion of California. This is California’s most productive agricultural area. This area experiences warm, hot summers. Approximately half of the wine produced in California is made from grapes grown in the Central Valley.

D’art Winery – Lodi California

You are never far from one of California’s Wine regions. Visit Central Valley wineries to experience the uniqueness of wine from the valley. The largest wine region in the valley is the Lodi Wine Country. Lodi is increasingly being recognized as the place to go for fabulous wines at reasonable prices. It was even named Wine Region of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

Clarksburg Wineries are approximately 15 miles south of Sacramento in the Sacramento Delta. Visit the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg where you can taste wine from multiple wineries all in one location. Head south toward Fresno to the Tracy Hills Wine Appelation Tracy has just two wineries with tasting rooms right now. Tracy is located just east of the Altamont Hills along Highway 580. I’m sure that more wine tasting rooms will soon be on the way.
