Suisun Valley

Suisun Valley and Solano County Green Valley Wineries are located just southeast of the Napa Valley.

People rush past these appellations on their way to Napa without even realizing that high quality wines they are passing on their way.

Lucky you! You have the chance to discover these fabulous wineries before the rest of the world discovers them as well.

Both of these appellations were recognized in 1982 and have produced many award-winning wines. The Solano County Green Valley Appellation is close to the San Pablo Bay giving the area a maritime climate. It’s a small region with only 800 acres current planted in vineyards.

The Suisun Valley has 3000 acres planted in grapes. The Suisun Valley and Solano County Green Valley is combined with the Napa Valley to comprise the larger North Coast AVA along with Sonoma, Mendocino, most of Lake County, as well as part of Marin County. Wines labeled “North Coast” can be these areas.
